Wade's Operation Smile Quilt

Wade has collected lots of Operation shirts from all the different countries he has been to, and from all the student events he has organized.  Most of these t-shirts he actually designed.  They've just been sitting in a garbage bag for a couple of years so I decided to make them into a quilt for him.  Mom my deserves most of the credit because she walked my through it step by step and did all the math to figure it all out.  Thanks mom!!!

I sent a couple of fabric squares to Virginia to have some of Wade's old coworkers sign them and make something fun for him to remember.

I gave it to him for Christmas which actually turned out to be a great time to make it because he quit Operation Smile and started with Ecoscraps that same month.  It was sort of a bitter-sweet thing.

Now where do we put it?

  1. Oh my gosh!! It turned out so amazing! I can't believe I never saw the finished product in person...you definitely need to show me next time I'm over there. I personally think you should hang it on the wall in that front sitting room so that everyone that comes over can see it. :)

  2. As always, you do something more to impress me! :) At least now all the shirts are in a blanket that can be used instead of sitting in a garbage bag! :) I can't wait til I'm done with my mom's quilt! This gets me excited!
