Wells is 3

Our little boy is not so little anymore.  I feel like with Wells turning three he has grown up so much.  He's starting preschool in the fall (which I get to buy him his first backpack, shed a tear, such a big moment for a mother), he started and completed swim lessons with flying colors, he's riding his little balance bike like a pro, He can get in and out of his car seat by himself (can almost unbuckle himself), and sleeps in a big boy bed.

Some of the funny things he has said lately:
While playing with his fire truck he likes to pretend he's rescuing me and when I say, "thank you for saving my life fire chief" he will tip his hat and say, "Just doin my job"

Sometimes when he wants me to get down and play with him on the floor, I'll say, "I can't bubby, mommy is just to big and pregnant" and he'll come over to me and pretend to take the baby out of my stomach and then he'll put it down his shirt and then say, "okay mommy now I have your baby you can play now."

Wade took him swimming and he got a little fish stamp on his hand and while swimming it washed off.   Wells was devastated that it was gone so when they left, Wade had the front desk ladies give him another stamp.  While walking out to the car Wells was holing his hand behind his back and Wade asked him why he was walking like that and he said, "I don't want the wind to blow my stamp off."

While eating his breakfast I was reminding him to take a bite and he said, "oh yeah,  thank you so much for telling me to take a bite mommy"

About three times a day he will say, "Mommy/Daddy, I love you so much!"

Here are his stats from the doctors office for his three year old check up.
He is 3 feet 4 inches tall.  Which means he is in the 95% for his age.
He is 33.5 pounds. Which means he is in the 70% for his age.
The doctor said he looks great and healthy.  We also got a little inhaler for his asthma so we wont have to spend fifteen minutes with the nebulizer anymore. The inhaler only takes about one minute. We love it.  His asthma seems to be a ton better this summer than last summer, I'm hoping this is something he will grow out of.

Here are a couple of pictures of his birthday celebration.  We had to celebrate with Grandma and Grandpa Hooton a few days earlier because they were leaving out of town for his party.

This is the cake I made him.  It didn't take me too long and it was actually a really fun cake to make.

Wade and I talk just about every night about how blessed we are to have such a sweet, kind, lovable, little boy.  I never knew how much I could love someone so much until I became a mother.  I get to serve him every day and nothing could make me happier.  I love him so much!
