I just traumatized my child!!!
Washing Wells blanket is no easy feat. I usually have to put it in the wash right before we leave the house so he wont notice it's gone. Well today I decided he needed to see what happens to the beloved blanket (plus we had no where to go). So while he watched curiously I put it in the hamper and told him we need to wash it. He looked very concerned and followed close on my heels as I walked it to the laundry room. As I turned on the washer and put in the soap he started saying, "BB? BB?" (that means blanket). I decided he should watch/help me put it in the washer, so I sat him on the dryer and handed him a shirt to throw in. As I put the beloved blanket in the washer... he looked shocked and then his little eyes started to well up, his little chin started the quiver and at that moment I knew it was as traumatic as loosing your first pet, watching your favorite ring being flushed down the toilet, or being dumped by your first love. Anyway he started wailing and mourning instantly for his "BB". As soon as I set him down he ran back to his room and grabbed his pacifier and bolted back to the laundry room. He knows that whenever we give him his pacifier his blanket usually follows close behind. So with his pacifier in mouth the blanket SHOULD magically come out right? He was very disappointed when it didn't and he promptly threw a little tantrum. So I know you are asking yourself what I did to solve this problem of completely traumatizing my child right? Well I just fed him lunch and put on a little Sesame Street (or as Wells called it... Elmo) and it's all good.

Haha...poor Wells. We know all too well at our house about the difficulty of washing the blanket. I've been searching everywhere for a second one because when Macie is sick and throwing up several times in the night it makes for long nights of washing that blankie over and over and her being sad. I think we will both be in for a fun ride when we try to brake them of their b&b's!
