Pre School

Well, today was my first child's first day of school.  Pre school that is.  It was a very bitter-sweet morning.  I can't believe my little Wells is old enough to go to pre school and that he was so excited to go and leave my side.  No tears on his part.  On the other hand it will be kind of nice to have four hours a week to myself to get some much needed work done around the house. Don't get me wrong, he's a great helper but sometimes he likes to help out a little too much if ya know what I mean :)
Wells is such a special boy to us and we love him so much.  I hope and pray everyday that we will raise him correctly and that he can have a good childhood.

One last little story that shows how sweet he is.  Last Sunday Wells came home from nursery with a little picture that he had colored and it had Miss Cathie's name on it (his pre school teacher).  He had his nursery teacher put her name on it so that he could give it to Miss Cathie when he went to school.  So the first thing he did this morning when he went to school was pull out the paper from his backpack and give it to Miss Cathie.  And I think she LOVED it!

Pregnancy Photos

So we tried to take some pregnancy photos this time around since we only have one or two of the first time I was pregnant.  Our goal was to get a photo every four weeks, but as you can tell that didn't really happen.  It's fun to see not only how my stomach (and everything else) grew, but I think it's fun to see how Wells has grown too!

BABY CHANDLER IS HERE!

On Wednesday July 25 baby Chandler was born!  At about 5 in the morning my water broke and I woke Wade up saying it's time to have this baby.  We got to the hospital by 6 and I delivered him by 12:20 pm.  Well actually the nurse delivered him. The doctor had to be somewhere else in the hospital that was more important.  He weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and was 19 1/2 in.  He's been a great baby so far.  We haven't had any troubles nursing, burping, or spitting up.  Nothing.  We feel so blessed to have such a healthy baby.

Wells brought me flowers.  What a sweet boy, it made my day.

This was Wells first reaction to the new baby.  My good friend Gina thought of the idea to come take pictures of the first time Wells and Chandler laid eyes on each other and I'm so glad she did.  I love these pictures and will cherish them forever.

My mom made this cute sign for our front yard.

He loves his milk!

His first bath.  Grandma Farr had to remind me how it's done.  She's a pro.

Wells is 3

Our little boy is not so little anymore.  I feel like with Wells turning three he has grown up so much.  He's starting preschool in the fall (which I get to buy him his first backpack, shed a tear, such a big moment for a mother), he started and completed swim lessons with flying colors, he's riding his little balance bike like a pro, He can get in and out of his car seat by himself (can almost unbuckle himself), and sleeps in a big boy bed.

Some of the funny things he has said lately:
While playing with his fire truck he likes to pretend he's rescuing me and when I say, "thank you for saving my life fire chief" he will tip his hat and say, "Just doin my job"

Sometimes when he wants me to get down and play with him on the floor, I'll say, "I can't bubby, mommy is just to big and pregnant" and he'll come over to me and pretend to take the baby out of my stomach and then he'll put it down his shirt and then say, "okay mommy now I have your baby you can play now."

Wade took him swimming and he got a little fish stamp on his hand and while swimming it washed off.   Wells was devastated that it was gone so when they left, Wade had the front desk ladies give him another stamp.  While walking out to the car Wells was holing his hand behind his back and Wade asked him why he was walking like that and he said, "I don't want the wind to blow my stamp off."

While eating his breakfast I was reminding him to take a bite and he said, "oh yeah,  thank you so much for telling me to take a bite mommy"

About three times a day he will say, "Mommy/Daddy, I love you so much!"

Here are his stats from the doctors office for his three year old check up.
He is 3 feet 4 inches tall.  Which means he is in the 95% for his age.
He is 33.5 pounds. Which means he is in the 70% for his age.
The doctor said he looks great and healthy.  We also got a little inhaler for his asthma so we wont have to spend fifteen minutes with the nebulizer anymore. The inhaler only takes about one minute. We love it.  His asthma seems to be a ton better this summer than last summer, I'm hoping this is something he will grow out of.

Here are a couple of pictures of his birthday celebration.  We had to celebrate with Grandma and Grandpa Hooton a few days earlier because they were leaving out of town for his party.

This is the cake I made him.  It didn't take me too long and it was actually a really fun cake to make.

Wade and I talk just about every night about how blessed we are to have such a sweet, kind, lovable, little boy.  I never knew how much I could love someone so much until I became a mother.  I get to serve him every day and nothing could make me happier.  I love him so much!

Ryan's Wedding

My brother Ryan was married to his beautiful girlfriend of seven years last night.  It was such a beautiful wedding and I'm so glad to see them finally tie the knot.  It was so sweet to see all their kids (and grandkids) combined walked down the isle with Amy escorted by her two boys.  I think I cried more than anyone in the room including the bride and groom COMBINED!!!  (Prego hormones)

After the ceremony and the delicious food Wells was more than ready to get down and boogie.

This last video is so funny!  All the cool teenagers were dancing with Wells and he was thinking he was pretty cool, but then when they all left he was... well... just watch :)

Big Night Out

So last week Wade and I were invited to go to the "Best In State Award Ceremony".  One of the guys Wade's company is working with won an award and he invited us to sit at his table. Wade told me the night before the event that we were going and that he was wearing his suit and that I should probably wear a dress.  So I just wore my typical church dress nothing fancy.  Well was I UNDERDRESS when we got there.  Little did I know that this was a black tie affair and most men were in tuxedos and most women were in all out formal gowns!  This was probably the most fancy event I've ever been to in my life!  (it was actually kind of uncomfortable for me, but I got over it pretty quick)  There were about 150 tables and we were number 16.   So we sat really close to the front of the stage.  They served us a three course meal with scallops and steak.  It was so good.  I found out later that each plate was $85 bucks! (thank goodness we didn't have to pay for it).  Anyway, long story short, it was a fun night out and so nice to get out with just my MAN!  Here are a couple of pics to prove that I'm not just making up this story :)

This next picture is me with the cello player from The Piano Guys.  I was so excited because I LOVE their music.  Plus Wells loves them too.  Wells and I will watch their music videos on you tube all the time. I was kind of star struck.

San Diego

We spent last weekend in San Diego with Wade's family.  We had such a great time that I really didn't take that many pictures.  The ones posted below are about all of them.  While we were there we played on the beach, spent a day and a half at Sea World, and a day in Lego Land.  We had a great time with the family and just relaxing in a new beautiful place.  This first photo is what we woke up to every morning.  It's looking right out from our hotel room patio.

Wells was pretty excited to go on the airplane.  Before arriving at the airport he was convinced that our plane was going to be Orange (his favorite color).  When he saw that it was blue and red he was a bit disappointed but he got over it pretty quick.

We had a great time on the beach. It was pretty cold so we only lasted a couple of hours but we loved it!  Wells and I decided that we would bring home a pretend dolphin and a part of the ocean to put in our backyard pond.  When I asked Wells what his new pet dolphin's name was (that was now in his pocket) he said,"Waddit, and he's green".

Wells and his cousin Eli that's only 6 weeks younger.  They look like they could be brothers.

Wade and Wells tried to make a sand castle and after many attempts and lots of little helpers (some not even from our family) is wasn't very successful.  Here is the final attempt at the sand castle.  I think they were both pretty darn proud of it.

The fire department was just down the street and while we were on a little walk they brought out a fire truck and lifted the latter all the way up.  Wells thought it was so cool, it totally made his day.  I like this photo because it just happened to be on Mothers day.
