Sweet, sweet, yogurt

A few days ago Wells pulled out a yogurt from our fridge and ran to his high chair and said, "EAT!!!".  Usually I say, "okay but mommy has to feed you" and he throws a huge fit that he can't do it himself.  So this time I was not willing to fight so I let him go at it.  I suited him up for the big event by rolling up his sleeves , putting on his biggest bib and handing him his weapon of choice... a poon (as Wells calls it).

While he was enjoying his time with his yogurt, I got soooo much done.  I cleaned up his toy room and put most of it away in storage and some to DI, I swept our floors and vacuumed the whole upstairs!

These pictures are for you to enjoy knowing you didn't have to clean up the mess.  (The mess was well worth it though).

Why is it so fun to take pictures of children making a mess?  Somehow they are just so cute...

Grandpa's Animals

One of our favorite things to do is go visit Grandpa Farr and his animals.  We get to see Billy the goat, Cow the cow, tons of chickens and the farm cat named Cat.  This is just a short video of the chickens but maybe one of these days I'll post a video of all the animals.  One of my favorite things about going to see the animals is hearing Grandpa Farr imitate their different noises.  I think he sounds just like them!  One of Grandpa Farr's favorite thing to do is scare ME by sending a dozen chicken my way to pluck my eye balls out...

It's snowing INDOORS!!!

Last Saturday I had some of my high school girlfriends over for a Minute to Win it party.  One of the challenges is to empty a kleenex box with one hand behind your back and only taking out one tissue at a time.
About a minutes later there were six boxes worth of kleenex's all over our table and floor.  So we stuffed them into a garbage bag and moved on to the next game.  (Sorry.  I didn't take any pictures, we were having way to much fun)
The next day (Sunday) Wade, Wells and I were all just sitting around sort of bored and I decided to let the kleenex's out of the bag.  We had so much fun and we played for a good 45 minutes.

You can tell by this next picture just how messy it was.

We then decided to bury Cinco and Wade.

We were pretty tired after all this fun.  And hey the tissues make a nice pillow!

I caught you...

Before you watch this video I want you to notice Wells face when I open the door, also notice that where he is it's pitch dark.  I also need to apologize for the fact that you are going to see my messy closet, my full laundry hamper and messy bedroom.

Enjoy...

I just traumatized my child!!!

Washing Wells blanket is no easy feat.  I usually have to put it in the wash right before we leave the house so he wont notice it's gone.  Well today I decided he needed to see what happens to the beloved blanket (plus we had no where to go).  So while he watched curiously I put it in the hamper and told him we need to wash it.  He looked very concerned and followed close on my heels as I walked it to the laundry room.  As I turned on the washer and put in the soap he started saying, "BB?  BB?"  (that means blanket).  I decided he should watch/help me put it in the washer, so I sat him on the dryer and handed him a shirt to throw in.  As I put the beloved blanket in the washer... he looked shocked and then his little eyes started to well up, his little chin started the quiver and at that moment I knew it was as traumatic as loosing your first pet, watching your favorite ring being flushed down the toilet, or being dumped by your first love.  Anyway he started wailing and mourning instantly for his "BB".  As soon as I set him down he ran back to his room and grabbed his pacifier and bolted back to the laundry room.  He knows that whenever we give him his pacifier his blanket usually follows close behind.  So with his pacifier in mouth the blanket SHOULD magically come out right?  He was very disappointed when it didn't and he promptly threw a little tantrum. So I know you are asking yourself what I did to solve this problem of completely traumatizing my child right?  Well I just fed him lunch and put on a little Sesame Street (or as Wells called it... Elmo) and it's all good.

Nap Time?

With it being the day after Christmas we've had a busy morning playing and setting up new toys.  I got a little distracted and didn't notice that it was Wells nap time.  I did however notice that it suddenly went quiet (which usually is not a good sign).  This is where I found Wells.

Everyday for nap time we sit in his rocking chair, and I give him his pacifier and blanket and we read a book together.  I guess this is his way of telling me he is ready for his nap.

A Snowman Family

A few days ago Wade and Wells made our snowman family.  I just stood there and watched them play together.  It was so cute to see Wade try and teach Wells how to roll the snow, and place them on top of each other to make a snowman.  The only parts I contributed to was Cinco's head and two parts on the front of my snowWOMAN...

If you can't tell I cropped this picture to have all of us in it.  Also... you might be wondering where Cinco is considering he is part of our family.  Well if you look over my right shoulder in the window you will see him posing for the picture.
